Twin County Surgery Welcomes Dr. Charles Boggs

Twin County Surgery is pleased to welcome Charles C. Boggs, MD to the Twin  County Regional Healthcare team and to our community. Dr. Boggs will begin seeing patients on December 7, 2015.

Dr. Boggs received his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. He conducted his internship and residency in general surgery and was the chief resident at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio.  He completed his fellowship in burn surgery at Tampa General Hospital in Florida. He most recently practiced in Fort Myers. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.  Dr. Boggs brings a vast array of experience in minimally invasive surgery, wound care and burn care including skin grafting.

Dr. Boggs has served in the United States Marine Corps and currently serves in the Reserve Command of the United States Army.  In addition to his service to our country, he has earned numerous accolades including Physician of the Month at Lee Memorial Health in Fort Myers; Meritorious Performance as Special Operations Medic Mentor at Tampa General Hospital and the Resident Achievement Award by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Boggs joins a team of surgeons including Anne B. Grayson, MD, FACS and Mahmoud O. “Mike” Jawhar, MD in offering a wide selection of surgical treatments for cancer and diseases of the skin and soft tissue, breast, thyroid, gallbladder and gastrointestinal tract with minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical options, as well as hernia repair, upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
