TCRH Lights Up Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
October 3, 2019
Anyone who visits Twin County Regional Healthcare this month will notice that the emergency room entrance is shining a different color. In honor of breast cancer awareness month the hospital has installed pink lighting on the exterior entrance during the month of October.
“We want our community to know that we are here and promote early detection of breast cancer through screening mammograms,” stated Greg Pearson, Chief Executive Officer, at Twin County Regional Healthcare. “This is a great opportunity to bring awareness of breast cancer to the community.”
“Twin County Regional Healthcare is committed to providing breast care through screening mammograms,” said Montie Scott, director of imaging services at TCRH. “We hope by lighting the entrance we raise awareness in our community for women to obtain their screening mammograms.”
According to the National Breast Cancer Organization, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. For more information about screening mammograms or to discuss breast care with a physician, call 276.236.TCRH (8274) or visit our website at www.TCRH.org.
