Twin County Physician Practices announced that Jonathan R. Shelton, Certified Physician Assistant, has joined the Twin County Urgent Care team located at 961 E. Stuart Dr., Galax, Virginia.

Shelton earned his Master of Physician Assistant from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, and his undergraduate from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee in Biochemistry and Science Information Technology. He holds a certification in basic life support (BLS).

As a certified physician assistant (PA-C), Shelton manages patients to diagnose and treat them in an urgent care setting, treating various medical conditions including cold & flu symptoms, minor cuts and burns, muscle sprains/strains, and other non-threatening illnesses.
